Vote Rebecca for Thanet South

The Labour Representation Committee is very pleased that Rebecca Gordon-Nesbitt has been shortlisted for selection in Thanet South and urges members in that CLP to support her at the selection meeting on Sunday October 27. Rebecca, a BAME women, was previously chosen as PPC for the CLP and is having to go through the process again after an unjust suspension.

Rebecca is a tireless activist against the dire poverty of Thanet and other coastal communities, fighting in particular to defend our NHS and for policies to deal with the housing crisis. She is a powerful advocate for Labour’s radical policies, pointing out for example the transformative effect that the party’s response to the climate emergency through creating green jobs would also help to create a sustainable economy and generate resources that would be reinvested locally. She is also a dedicated team player.

The LRC is also committed to seeing the election of more Black MPs and would be very happy to see another BAME woman elected to represent Labour in South Thanet.
