Solidarity with Jeremy Corbyn and all those being disciplined for criticism of his suspension
The Labour Representation Committee stands in solidarity with all those being disciplined by Labour's party machine for having discussed - or even being prepared to discuss - motions which criticised the suspension of Jeremy Corbyn.
We also stand with those threatened with such action as part of the clampdown on our right to even discuss this issue which is occurring subsequently. We believe that the use of such disciplinary measures and threats - made by General Secretary David Evans and regional officials - have no basis in the Party's rules.
The LRC recognises that these attacks on individuals and Party branches and CLPs are an attempt to muzzle discussion of the leadership's actions, a dangerous threat to party democracy and freedom of speech within our party structures.
We urge comrades throughout the movement - Party and unions - to continue to pass resolutions supporting the restoration of the whip to Corbyn, challenging edicts about what we are and are not allowed to discuss, and in solidarity with all those disciplined for taking such action.
There is strength in solidarity.
