Michael Roberts was an economist in the City of London for 40 years. He is author of several books on Marxist economics: The Great Recession - a Marxist view (2009); The Long Depression (2016); World in Crisis (2018); Marx 200 (2018) and Engels 200 (2020). He has been a socialist since his twenties. He has also been a member of the Labour Party for over 50 years and an activist in the labour movement.
